On January 29th, Hanyang University, Dangjin City, and the Chungnam Institute of Industry-University Convergence signed an MOU for rare metal recovery technology development, which is an energy technology development project that the Ministry of Trade and Industry is supporting.

During the agreement ceremony, major officials participated, such as Hanyang University's Industry-University-Research Cooperation's leading university support group Director Jeon Byung Hoon, the Dangjin City Mayor, and the Director of the Chungnam Institute of Industry-University Convergence.

Under this agreement, each agency will cooperate in △ joint research activities in related local industries, △ cooperation in developing metal recovery technology for characterizing complex, △ exchange of technical professionals and equipment for research and development, and △ cooperation in installing development equipment facilities.

The agreement receives high expectations in that it is a project that meets the government's Green New Deal, not only for the acquisition of rare metals with high industrial demand or importance but also for the commercialization of remaining solution after the completion of the process.
